Poor little guy, sounds like you love him very much though and he is getting the best possible care.
Getting the tech to stay with him was such a lovely idea.

It's nearly 4 in the afternoon here... hence why I am late answering a lot of questions usually

I'm 2 hours ahead of you and I can not go to sleep without my Oaklie next to me. Husband went to bed, he gave up on me :p to bad. I have Oaklie on the brain. I will keep all of you posted when and hopefully he comes home tomorrow and doesn't have to stay another night. You guys are awesome, so glad I went on this site. Thanks again for all the support. :)

I can't sleep either! I ate to late and now I'm wide awake... I could probably go to bed, but my mind would be racing... :(

I would do anything for my little angel Oaklie. The tech keeps texting me with little updates if he's restless, or sad or sleeping or awake. She is wonderful it cost me a few hundred xtra but so worth the money to make sure he is safe. Its about 3:20am here on the east coast and I can't stop thinking about him so sleep for me is not even an option :(

    Oh he is adorable!

My dogs never ate after surgery, even just simple surgery like spays and neuters. My one boy had ligaments repaired and he had to stay at the vets for almost a week. I had to go in everyday and hand feed him, because he would not eat for the vets.

They said I can come pick him up tonight at 6pm OMG I can't wait. They said he was out of his cage twice and was walking with a limp but walking. As of 9am he still hadn't eaten so I boiled some chicken for him when he comes home tonight and we will lay together and hang out all night. I will keep you guys posted again, thank you so much for all the support last night and today. It means soooo much to me. :D

Just wanted to thank everyone who helped me last night and today with all your support. Oaklie is home still with the IV shunt in his arm. He has 10 stitches and I will quote the doctor, "it's the best procedure I have ever done, it's text book" :) When I got him in the door I heated up some boiled chicken I made for him I took little pieces and by the time he was done, he ate an entire breast and now he is sleeping comfortably. I have to take him back tomorrow to get the shunt out because they have to give him more meds into his blood stream which will work faster then pills and also to learn the physical theropy I will have to give him for the next 3 months, range of motion on his leg as well as icing it and he will be good to go. He will be on anti inflamatory meds for about 6 month and antibiotic for a week. I'm a pro now. You guys are all awesome. :D
