Hellman's has a new Mayo made with Olive Oil. It's become my favorite now. Still use Miracle Whip on some things but the fact I can get away from soybean oil in Mayos now makes me ecastatic.

I'll just have to check that out, twinkie! I learn new things here all the time!

By the way, when I was a child, I was basically a product of soybeans. Seems like I was allergic to everything else...

    Thanks!

I really like veganese mayo. It is made with grape seed oil opposed to egg yolk and vegetable oil. It is a lot healthier and tastes very good too!

I live in Arizona, so at Safeway is where I get it. I see you live in IL, so you might want to try Dominick's or Jewel-Osco.

Dominick's and Safeway are pretty much the same. You would find it in the cold section. It's not on the same shelf as the other mayos.

    Try Dominick's though.

When I was a small my Dad used to make Mayo sandwiches.. it was white bread and about a 1/4" or more of Mayo. I still gag to this day when there is too much Mayo on anything or in anything.

He did what he had to do and I give him credit, but Ecchhhkk!

    Hello Clough,

Well I use real mayonnaise on a lot of things. I make my own club sandwiches, have to have mayo. Make tuna salad sandwiches. Make potatoes salad or macaroni salad. Egg salad.

Taco's and burrito wraps. Hotdogs, cut up onions and mix mayo with the onions and layer the bun, then the ketchup and mustard goes on top with some melted cheese, but defiantly mayo is the main ingredient.

I know I kind of wrapped it altogether. Did not mean to make it sound that way. I do not have the gift yet of being able to reedit my posts after the fact. Lol

Yes, Real Mayonnaise for me Clough.

I get ill when I eat soybean anything. And I used to eat roasted soybeans (I love them but they don't even remotely like me). I have to be very careful to avoid soybean oil in processed food products as I get bad digestive problems from them AND gain weight to boot from soybeans. I don't get gas or gain weight from the olive oil mayo though and it tastes like regular mayo.

I went to buy 'back up' mayo today and saw the olive oil stuff... went to get it and noticed it said reduced calorie:eek: I picked up the regular stuff.
Do they have a olive oil mayo that is not reduced calories? I usually find that 'reduced calories' = 'tastes like cr-p':)
