I just realized that you are New York State Law... I am in Ontario Canada... but I was just hoping to get a few opinions on here as to what I can do... I didn't know if states would be that much different than canada and I have tried to look up canadian laws and find solutions but have not had too much luck... a few people have told me that they think the police are still holding my sled to see if I will "crack" with the possibility of being charged because they have no evidence that it is stolen... like I said to the police... would I risk everything I have including a hunting licence to knowingly have something that was stolen... I value everything too much to do that, but they don't se eit that way.

Whether the Police will see it your way and why they see it their way is a question for another board, not a legal board.

Yes, I am somewhat familiar with Canadian Law but it is different from US Law - criminal law is more or less the same.

There are no solutions here - either it's stolen or it's not and that's up to the Police to prove.
