    Or maybe all it will do is advance scientific discovery. I just wish the US hadn't chickened out and built the one proposed for Texas.

    I just found this thread but after reading it I am surprised that nobody said anything about Haiti and it being the start of things or something like that. I don't mean to joke about what happened in Haiti either I am just saying.

    I think it is making a good topic for TV and movies. I did like the 2012 movie. I don't believe in it but the movie was good.

    The mayan calendar has proven itself over the years. I think the big thing is interpretation. Yes it ends in 2012. But that end is just a cycle and it starts over again. Most people seem to skip over that part. @012 will have changes for the world in it just like the passing of the milenia. It will come in with a bang and then fizzle. Too many gloom and doom predictions being made and I believe it will caus people to reflect and maybe make some changes on the inside. WHo really knows what's going to happen when we get there but we live in unique times so anything goes.
