    OP,

    There is no way to lose weight in a short term, and in real life, most men do prefer a girl who takes care of herself.

    Unfortunately, they translate "take care of themselves" as being thin/athletic. That leaves the bigger girls limited opportunity on meeting decent men. I am happy that you are going to meet your GP tomorrow.

    The bottom line- do lose some weight so YOU are happy about about YOURSELF.

    I have to say that I disagree with this statement. I have been thin and fat and let me tell you neither translated into me meeting a decent man.
