Thank you, Scott. I am in a fully committed relationship but we are not married. We behave like we are! We live together, share responsibility, support each other, love each other and are committed to death and beyond. There is no foot out the door here and no desire for escape. And what sort of responsibility does "marriage" bring that living together doesn't? I just wouldn't make blanket statements like that-- I'm not saying it's like this for everyone- I only know that it is for us. So please don't call my situation a cop-out. We commit to each other every single day by choice. Not by law. Ands as Scott said, with the state of "marriage" these days, and the way it is used by the so-called people of "value", I'm not a big fan of the institution.

I am Catholic and I know it is not the christian thing to do but... if you want to judge me then that is fine! I know I am not perfect! I didn't post the fact that I have a "friend with benefits" to brag! I would much rather say that I am in a committed relationship! Sorry if I offended you!

When two people decide to have sex together with no commitment they had better be mature and ready or else this relationship like all others has its own problems and pitfalls. All relationships do.

In my situation I was using friends with benefits because the relationship was over and that was my way of holding on to that person in some weird way. But since then I have come to realize that I am better than that. That cheapens sex. That is a very imitate thing to do with someone and I felt like a whore.
I don't ever want to feel that way again.
Friends with benefits means sex with NO stress! DON'T DO IT! Havingf the cake and eating it too!

FWB is fake - one person ALWAYS feels something. It does not work.

I do not know one situation where - when it was over, some one wasn't hurt. Sex doesn't work that way.
