I can only hope that they decided against a rabbit, or even a fish. ;)
My bunny's are all downstairs in the computer/play area/bunny area. In fact, Thumper is to the left of my computer desk, I can just reach over and give him a tickle while I'm on the computer.
In the morning, when I come down to talk to all of you, the bunny's all come up to the edge of their cage for a pet, a scratch and a cuddle. Well, not Kilala, no cuddles, she hates that!
Thumper is my flopper. When he's happy he just lets himself flop to his side. The first few times he did that I thought he'd had a heart attack and died, that's what it looks like when he does it.
Cotton always gives me a scare too. He sleeps with his eyes open! I don't know how many times I've gone up to his cage fearing the worst, only to reach in to check and end up scaring the crap out of him! ;)
Oreo is the hungry bunny, constantly eating. When I go to the food bowl she starts frantically hopping back and forth in her cage, she just can't wait.
Kilala is a crazy hopper. A while back she actually hopped so much that her cage fell off the table it sits on. That shouldn't even be possible, but she did it!
They're all so unique and individual. Too many people just see them as disposable pets. It makes me sad. :(

I know, it's awful, they all have different personalities!
Jack is very active, when he comes out for his runs he binkies everywhere and just doesn't stop running around nibbling everything in reach. He still does the typical bunny flop with the legs splayed out behind him though.
Dora on the other hand is lazy... and I mean LAZY. My dad thought she was dead a while ago because she was laying on her side. He called out her name. No movement. He went up to the hutch and opened the lid. She still didn't move. He picked her up. Still no movement. He got almost to chest hight and she woke up and dug the claws in!!
Did you end up screwing Kilala's cage to the table? Crazy bunny lol

I put a rope on the cage and screwed it to the wall! :)
It was really scary for a minute. I didn't hear it fall, I would think I'd hear it, but no.
I came downstairs like usual and there's the cage laying on the floor, wood shaving and food everywhere, the top of the cage open, ready for a bunny escape.
I was horrified, thought for sure that she was dead. I came up to the cage and there she is huddled in the corner looking mighty ticked off!
She was so happy when I took her out, righted her cage, put new shavings and food in and gave her a once over to make sure she wasn't hurt.
Silly bunny got in her cage and started her mad hopping back and forth. I guess she learned nothing! ;)

Just have to mention. Kilala is my Houdini bunny. We have an enclosure, we call it our bunny binky room. It's really tall, heck, my dogs couldn't get out of it. Kilala does. She runs, leaps, grabs on to the bars and climbs up and over. She's my little stinker.
Here's a pic of the bunny binky room.
That's Cotton enjoying some binky time! :)

Woa! You've been you two alone on the thread for 24 posts! Just saw the thread... and decided to say that you did well Alty, always with good advice!
There was too much to read though. Read some of the first posts... and saw the pic of Cotton! :)

Hehe Unky, we got in the bunny zone
That's pretty much what I have used to make my little temp enclosures Alty, I used a corner of the laundry so I could make them bigger using less bits. (if that makes sense)
I've never had a bunny that has climbed before
She sure is a special one she is :D

Just a quick note to let you know that Dora is back from her surgery.
Vet said she did well through the operation and there were no complications. She is currently in a small petcarrier in the loungeroom so she can't move around (not that she wants to move poor thing)
The vet suggested a belly band so I have that on her at the moment, keeping a close eye but I also got an E collar for times when I can't watch her or in case she gets the urge to nibble!
We went and saw Diego today :) Only a few more days till he comes home... for good this time! (and gets the snip but we won't tell him that!)

Awww. I'm so glad Dora is doing well, good for you getting this done, big hugs, huge hugs and a hug for Dora too. You'll be amazed how quickly they recoup.
I can't wait to see Diego. You must really love treehouse, the station that plays Dora the Explorer and Go Diego Go! :)
Anxiously awaiting pictures. Show me! Show me! Show me! :p

Lol Alty *hugs back*, I was worried all day and when the phone rang I nearly jumped out of my pants! It's all good though :)
I named Dora because when we first got her she was curious about everything, she wasn't scared at all, she just wanted to... explore hehe
And Diego was actually named after a character from the movie Ice Age because we really liked the name... then we realised about Go Diego Go lol
It worked perfectly! :D
And Jack, well... I've had him for nearly 8 years now so my teenage brain thought jackrabbit sounded cool :o
She's a little more lively now, I gave her some food, she ignored it at first but she has eaten a little.

Diego and Dora and then Jack. Too cute. :)
The kids named our bunny's, that why we have; Thumper, Oreo, Cotton and Kilala.
Sad. ;)

They're cute names, not sad :D
Can't wait till Friday... probably post some pics over the weekend because Diego is getting his surgery done Friday...
How long do you think I should keep the band/collar on both of them? Till they get their stitches out or earlier?

I left the collar on until a week after the stitches (staples in our case) were taken out.
Because the area will still be sore they tend to lick, lick, lick it and can irritate it or cause infection.
It does depend on the bunny though. Some bunny's are better about leaving their owie alone then others. Cotton just wanted to tear himself apart. Little stinker. ;)
