Just Imagine how many good possibilities of we lost for a down to earth business man/ politician to vote for because he's not in the "CLUB" Without a doubt these people look at us commoners as stupid and we don't get it. A little secret about affordable health care. It's Never going to happen. Here's how health care and welfare medical cards work. The hospitals needs and wants to raise the cost of health care so they can get billions of dollars in medical card holders from Gov.The medical card holders are so much easier to Collect fees from a patience and bill Gov then it is wrestling with a patience health care provider. The hospitals and doctors and upper staff are getting untold amounts of money from the medical Gov check. I was doing work in a hospital and at 3:30 am a dude comes in off the street to the emergency fills out the paperwork to get an aspirin! I asked what was that all about to the doctor and nurse.
Comment was. The way the medical card works ( depending on your rating) the card only pays a percentage for doctors visit BUT! If you go to the hospital emergency ward its F R E E to most card holders to get whatever. The Emergency people tell me this happens ALL the time and makes the hospital good money. They have "REGULARS" that come there all of the time and by Law they can't refuse treament.
Just fixing that could help bail out the burden of tax payers costs and Gov shortfalls in money spent.

This is mostly why Hilliary didn't get anywhere on trying to 'Fix" the rising cost in health care which without a doubt is one of thee BIGGEST industries in this Country! That effects Home ownership at all base levels. We quickly forget just some years ago how so many 100 of thousands people LOST there homes because of an illness and hospitable bills. Since then in the last couples of years the Gov/LAW approved for a Hospital to be able to ATTACH to the real estate to collect their bill. So lets look at it nut shell.
Years ago Gov Ronald Regan and Clinton say Americans Don't save like they should
Gov lets welfare get out of control
Now The hospitals push to keep the cost of care up to get more cream of profit.
Now our savings is lost in health care costs.
Now Gov has allowed a new law to let the Hospital take our house after we spent our thousands of savings (the Gov. told us to save! ) and spent that savings on that actual hospitals bill that the Gov helped to create in the first place! HA!
You can talk politics all you want but it all starts from the home period. No home no car co good job. No good job no economy to even think of yet

Gov doesn't control its control on welfare recips.

Yeah, about the housing bublle and the collapse of the financial markets:

Barney Frank's Fannie and Freddie Muddle - Sam Dealey (usnews.com)

So five years ago, there was one of those rare moments in Washington when the branches and personalities of government—in this case, the Bush administration—are less interested in protecting or expanding their turf than in fixing a looming catastrophe. What was Frank's response to the proposal?

"These two entities—Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac—are not facing any kind of financial crisis," said Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts, the ranking Democrat on the Financial Services Committee. "The more people exaggerate these problems, the more pressure there is on these companies, the less we will see in terms of affordable housing."

The housing meltdown is largely a story of greed and irresponsibility made possible by government privilege If Democrats had granted the Bush administration the regulatory powers it sought, the housing crisis wouldn't be nearly as severe and the economy as a whole would be better off.
