WOOPS wrong one. I thought I found a cheaper one. Just post brand and exact model of furnace. Also the pert numbers for the one you took off. I will search for a new cheaper one if possible,

Thanks hvac1000,
Unfortunately, I already paid $170 at another place online ($152 + $18 shipping). I should have looked a little harder I guess to save another $20. I checked eBay and somehow missed that one... oh well.
I am assuming the new motor unit will come with a new paperish gasket. Also, the connection to the exhaust vent had some kind of red sealant around it. Will I have to go buy some of that? What is it called and where do I get a small quantity?
Thanks.

True but after you chew it for awhile it looses that silicone flavor. I like the white color/flavor the best. The red has a cinnamon after taste.

The motor finally came yesterday and I successfully installed it tonight. Everything seems to be working. I bought a tube of the high temp sealant stuff at Lowe's for $15! What a rip off! I only used about 2 squeezes to seal the fan exhaust to the exhaust ducting. Oh well. Probably could have found it for cheaper elsewhere, but I was in a hurry.
So grand total: $270 in parts to replace the control board and the induction motor. I hope it was worth it. I figure it probably would have been at least $500 parts and labor if I had called a repairman. I wouldn't have been without heat for almost a month, though.
Although my electricity bill wasn't as bad as I thought it would be with the 2 space heaters going. With natural gas prices going up, maybe electric heating would be competitive (although I hear people say that NG is the best option if it is available). Plus we were supplementing the space heaters with our gas fireplace so I'm still going to have a gas bill.
Thanks for everyone's help
