We were friends for 10yrs before. I care about him like a relative, but nothing more than that.

But I really do not want Pete to get annoyed and I really don't want Marc causing problems.
I agree with you DJ a hundred percent.
DJ is being smart about this situation. I understand that this guy has been to war and that he more than likely has changed. But you have to look at it from DJ's point of view. All she remembers about this guy is that he was a complete a-- to her before he left. She has every right to not want to have contact with him if she chooses not too. Especially since she has a new boyfriend and is SHE feels that she can't trust this guy despite what he's saying or just doesn't choose to go down that road, then you can't blame her.
This is no disrespect to any troops serving right now, war or no war, you may have changed but that doesn't garuntee you a second chance with someone you had wronged. If DJ had lost all her trust in this guy before hand I can understand why she would be apprehensive of trusting him again. Like I said she must do what she is the most comfortable with. If she really isn't comfortable with having contact with him then he has to understand that.

He doesn't seem honorable because all the other women he had on string. It seems to me, before, he was playing DJ 'H'. Read her initial post why she stopped seeing him.

Guys don't like women having anything to do with EXs... they may say it's OK - but inside it's not.

Just cause a guy is in the service doesn't mena he's honorable. Some guys are I nthe service because they have nothing else.

This guys intentions are to get back together and he THINKS he has an in here.

Hi again DJ I guess my notion of the honor of our service men may have clouded my judgement a bit so I reread the threads again.Since you did have a bad experience with this guy before and you've let him know that you are otherwise committed in would be in really bad taste for him to even try to pursue you for the intentions of getting you back. Also it would be asking a lot for Pete to even be put in a situation between you and your ex,so the only solution would be to truthffully tell this guy to forget seeing you or contacting you again Wildcat is right b/f's don't really want ex's in their g/f's lives ever.

See this is exactly what I feel he is doing. Trying to get back in there with me. And I know Pete is not going to like having Marc text me, he can tell me he isn't bothered, but I know different!!
