Family will do that because they often have an image of you that isn't necessarily who you are and then they imagine 'their ideal girl' for you and again not what you would look for.

That is good advice because then you will enjoy yourself any way even if you don't run across someone.

It is hard nowadays because it is soooo different from the 60's and 70's. Many people are more self centered and all.
