Perhaps that is true ;but the corn to fuel converion has also been a boon that has left alot of unintended consequences .
Of course I have "data " on the conversion rate. Exactly the same data you have read. Now, tell me where crude is going to top out so I can tell you we need to get busy and figure out how to do it cheaply... and we can. Just like we can take civilians for a ride into space. You know how things really work... I hope. It happens to be against the law to apply good ole Yankee know how to it right now. But, it can be done.

In Oregon pot is legal for use for medicinal purposes. There are rules that you must follow, and most people will. People with the "medical use license" can also grow their own. The only downfall to this is that it is a state law and not federal. Dr's are being arrested for prescribing it since it is a felony to posses over an ounce. Anything less is a misdemeanor. The only problem I can see with this is the political problem of having everyone... and there are a lot of them... be on a list that essentially tells the feds hey I grow and consume a controlled substance. With every good there is an evil. In this instance I think that the good outweighs the evil buy a few trillion $$$ and the effect on the environment. Go green takes on a whole new meaning in this instance. I would love to see hemp legalized, but there is a difference between pot and hemp. Mainly the level of THC in the plant itself. Hemp would be a wonderful cash crop and as long as it could be monitored by some government agency it should be part of the "green movement". Unfortunately, us small people that aren't big businesses like Dupont and the oil companies can't make that happen because we don't have the money to compete. Heck, if you watch the polls the west cost doesn't even matter when voting and counting in the presidential elections anymore. There has got to be a better way than having these people in office that come from long lines of pampered families in office. I want to see someone that has worked themselves off welfare get there and see how things would change. Ok so I lost my train of thought and now I'm rambling... I'll stop now.

Go myth, I was enjoying what you had to say! Being from Oregon and all, I know... I know...
And the fact that our vote doesn't even count... I know it is off subject but you are so right on with that statement!

You were not rambling. I think you make a great deal of sense. I would love to smoke a big fat Doobie just for the hell of it but, and that is a big but, I don't want to run the risk of getting arrested. There is nothing wrong with pot. Alcohol should be out lawed or only burned in cars.
