You tried to talk sense into her, but ultimately once she turns 18 she's responsible for making her own stupid decisions. And one like this she will have to live with for life.

Recommendation is to start teaching her that her actions have consequences. And start by moving on. Trust me you don't need the aggravation of a willful and spiteful woman dragging you down, there are lots of women who don't act that way and understand relationships take two and know how to compromise. Your life will be better if you find one of them.

Honestly, anyone who is giving me crap for this, you're being a scum bag. I'm going through such a hard time right now, and I really don't need you to pile your negative garbage on top of it.

Besides the last 2 people that posted, none of you know what you're talking about. You'd like to think you do, but you don't. There's 2 people in a relationship, to sets of feelings and emotions, 2 sets of thoughts. You do not go off and make your own decisions all the time without caring about the other persons feelings. If she didn't say things like "well, it doesn't matter what you think, I'm doing it anyways" or if she had just done one thing that I've asked in the year we've been together, I would be much more willing for her to get the tattoo. But her general attitude towards the whole thing, and quite frankly this whole relationship sucks. So this is my test, my final test, to see if she will do this one thing FOR ME. Because in a relationship it is not all about you, or else they wouldn't call you a "couple." I'm all about her doing what makes her happy, but out of the 3 things I've asked her to do, she hasn't done ONE. I'm sick of her never willing to do anything for me, or this relationship. I'm not being controlling or immature, she's being selfish and self centered. A relationship is not a place to be selfish in. She can be single if that's how she wants to be. I really don't feel like explaining this to you over and over, so just stop saying negative stuff, okay?

If you are not feeling happy about the relationship then maybe its best to end it. I personally don't like tatoos, especially not on women because it make you look rough and kind of unpleasant. I do think she should listen to your opinions and concerns, if she won't now the will she ever?
