You are young and sound like a great Mommy, no doubt you husband is young and though he supports you with money, doesn't really care about you or the baby.
My advice is to start getting your ducks in a row, start saving some money and looking for reliable,loving childcare. You'll need a job and the will to get out.
Do you have family to help you, that is where I'd start first, tell them what has happened and see if you can rely on them, because I'm telling you, once violence starts, it only gets worse.
You and your child deserve better,and though you think you love your husband life can only get better, don't allow him to show your child that this is the way life is.
Once you have a plan,run as fast as you can and build a new life for yourself and your precious child. Good luck dear and remember you're worth mare than what he's willing to give.

Im sorry if this is out of line but how did this go from a post about him not spending time or helping around the house to violence and restraining orders?

No excuse for the violence but maybe there was a better way for you to have handled the situation, just seems like some sort of plan from the start. I don't know, am I way off?
