Hi everyone! I'm so sorry it took me so long to respond, but puter is acting up again today. It was working half ways decent before, but of course when I REALLY want to get on to talk you y'all, it craps out on me.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!. TO ALL OF YOU... for your support and kind loving words and support! I can't even find the words myself to tell you just how much I appreciate all of you!! ::tears whelling up::

I was so scared lastnite, and felt helpless really. The cops took forever to get here, and they really did a whole lot of nothing once again, like I said. They took their report, and told me they would make occasional drive by's in my neighborhood. WOOHOO! I even screamed at them and asked what the hell it has to take to get their attention! Finding me dead on my floor probably. This has been going on for sooooo long now (over a yr and a half) and it is really just getting to me!

I do have 2 by 4's, that are always sitting at the front and back doors. I sleep with my keys everynite, because I can press the emerg button for my van alarm. I have set off my smoke detector deliberately to sound an alarm. I have told all of my neighbors, and they are very kind, but not usually up at 3am when most of this stuff happens. I am scared to change my phone #, because sometimes that at least gives me a heads up! I have "beware of dog" signs everywhere, I have security system signs (although I don't have one, and can't afford one) I have even slept with a knife under my pillow, although I don't really sleep. I've tried everything I can think of, that is within my means, yet the cops still refuse to do anything.

The proof of them doing nothing, and the legal system doing nothing, is the $500 fine that my ex got for forcing his way into my house, breaking my ribs, cheekbone, bruising my lung, and reinjuring my hip. Do I really have to wonder why some people go the vigilante route? Do they ever wonder? I have a good and trusted friend that works for the police force. He is one of the good guys, and is so sick of the politics and the lack of judgement and support from fellow officers, that he is wanting to take an early retirement. Unfortunately, he is in a different division, and can't help me with my problems, because of those politics and all of the mumbo jumbo that goes on with the police force.

This post is getting too long, so I will carry on with another, because I have more to say, especially to Rebby and Momma C.

I just would like to say again... Thanks so much you guys! I appreciate your support more than you will ever know! :)

First of all, my dear sweet Rebby! I sat in shock reading what has happened to you and your family! OMG!! I can't even grasp it to imagine what that must have been like! That guy is mentally ill! He should've been institutionalized! For you and your children to live in fear like that is unimaginable, and unspeakable! What the hell has this world come to, when you can't even get correct police reports, or when someone in the dept. is stealing evidence?! I'm soooooo very so that you had to go through all of that Rebby. You are one of the sweetest people on the face of this earth, and to have some maniac make you live in fear, is... well... just more than I can comprehend.

Momma C,. sweet, never hurt a fly Momma C! I will send you an email with more words, but you have had a really hard time, and had some nasty uncaring people in your life. It really makes you wonder what made them this way, and how their brains (if they have one) work! They obviously have an awful tormented and delusional view of people and the world around them. I will write you more a bit later okay?. I just can't come up with the words right now, I am so flabergasted with sheer lack of human caring that these people have.

Is it just me?. or does there seem to be a pattern here. My ex was in the British Army. He was in Bosnia, and in Afganistan, but mostly on peace missions, clean up, or reserve. Seems a little odd to me, that all of these people that have done these things we are talking about, were in the military... doesn't it?

Starby, I really wish there was something that I could do to make you safe. Every time I hear this sort of thing I cringe and get really pi**ed off. I don't have a solution. The only thought I have is; can you possibly play his game to some extent? If you could get your really good friend with the police department (I realize he can't do anything with the politics as is) to maybe do the "works" on him? I don't usually think along these lines but you need serious help.

What I am suggesting is; sit down w/ your friend, have a long discussion again the situation hon. When he again says that there is nothing he can do legally... say to him "legally?" He will begin to get the drift, as they say. Making this shorter... simply ask him if he or anyone he knows can "set up" your ex? In my opinion he certainly deserves it and nothing else is going to work at this point... maybe not hurt him physically but whatever...

Maybe your friend who I'm sure... knows people hon. People that can somehow "set him up" for something that will put him away for a while. And he will never know who it was. Or, maybe your friends "friends" can simply pay him a visit...

Just a few things I dug up from my younger years... and when some good people needed some extra help... from "friends."

I never "ran" with these kind of people, but I knew them and they knew me... wasn't a bad relationship.

When I discovered that my first wife was running around on me, I was devastated, truly devastated. A short while later a friend of mine wanted me to go to a bar that was a little shady, shall we say, for a drink. After a hour or so this monster of a guy put his hand on my shoulder and said are you... "stringer?" I turned and looked up at a 90 degree angle just to see his face. He looked like a professional wrestler.

He told me, "your wife is seeing a guy named Paul Carol he drives a while Buick and lives at......and so on." "He will not be seeing your wife or any one for some time." I said what.. My friend said, "turn around and drink your beer "stringer" he had it coming...I said "what the h*ll?" Bottom line Starby, they broke both of his knee caps.

I was shocked and did not approve of any of this....my friend said "drink your beer, there are wittinesses that know you were here when it happened... I have never forgotten this. There is a whole different world out there that most of us don't know about.

I am not suggesting that you have any of this done to anyone, seriously... I just know that sometimes it takes fire to fight fire... for your own protection hon.

Thanks String Man! ;) I do know what you mean, and I do have some friends that... lets just say... if they ever see him in a dark alley, he better have on his sneakers!

As for my cop friend, he said he will try his best to do anything and everything for me that he can. He said unfortunately, they are very few of the older and trusted members of the force still around, because they got tired of the young inexperienced, want to carry a gun, want power and control, rookies! Unfortunately, those are the ones that always show up at my door when I call. So a lot of the good guys have just gotten fed right up and taken early retirement.

I have talked to my friend... and his wife who is a good friend, about all of this. But Norm is a straight by the book kind of guy. He really wants to help anyway he can, but he isn't the type that will go beyond the law, so to say. He might break a rule here and there, but he is old school. I like old school... but I wish he could be "Corleone" old school, if you know what I mean!! LOL!

I felt a lot safer here when I had neighbors on both sides. The guy that used to live on one side of me moved, but he would hear every bump in the night, and either call me, or just come over and check things out. He was a professional boxer, and a pretty big guy, so I felt like I kind of had my own personal body guard until he moved. The people on the other side of me are a really young couple with a newborn, so although they are helpful sometimes, they aren't people I can count on in a pinch. I have a crack dealer and user, that lives directly behind me, that my ex buys crack from... or used to anyway. I didn't know about his drug use until right before I left. So that is kind of scary too. There are not very nice people hangin out there.

Moving isn't an option right now either, or I would. So it's just really stressful. Hopefully ex will be stolling down a dark alley sometime, at the wrong time! ;)

    Hey starby,

I'm glad you finally made it on - you don't need any of puter's bs right now I can tell...

I wanted to say that I am impressed with the way you seem to be handling this. I am surprised at how positive and "normal" you appear to be with yourself after what happened last night. I commend you for being strong and keeping your head on straight - bravo.

Like everyone said, I wish there was something I could do more than talk to you on here, and if there is let me know. Hopefully this creep will get what he has coming because people like this disgust me. I don't understand what would posses you to do this to another person, especially a woman. Its disgusting.

Anyway, I hope that tonight is a better night for you. If you need anything, were all here for you :)

Thank you so much Biggie! If I could reach through my screen and hug you all, I would! :) My ex is a creep, and a loser! I feel like such a fool that I was even with somebody that was capable of these things, and I'm actually pretty embarrassed to even say it all outloud. He wasn't like that when we were together. It was only towards the very end, and it was like a Jekyl and Hyde thing. He used to be my best friend in the world, and everyone that met him, loved him. Then unbeknownst to me, he got involved with a group of young kids from work (he was their boss) and started with Coke and Crack. It totally changed him from the person he used to be, into this stark raving mad lunatic! Got to love those drug pushers eh?
