Hi Chery. I used my sons PC with Vista for a few weeks while on vacation. It almost ruined my vacation. Like you, I puffed up and decided that I could whoop this thing. I failed. As a matter of a fact, this ole Dell I'm on now, (5 years) has been the best with XP but alas, it is ready to be turned out to pasture. It really needs to be sent to the glue factory! I am ordering a new Dell tomorrow that still has XP Home. I don't know how much longer they will have XP so I thought I better grab one now. That way, if it last me even 3 to 4 years, that's 3 to 4 years I don't have to deal with Vista.
The conspiracy theory people say that vista has a back door for the government to lurk around in your bidness. I don't know that for sure so just in case, have your little mooners standing by! :)

Mag, I know what you mean, XP is still the best and my other puters have it. Just one left with Win2000 and it still works. I also have an old one with Win98 on it. I think it will be fun for my grandson to bang around on.
So, now I have a laptop with Vista - given to me and has the largest storage space of 120 GB, another laptop that's getting old and only 80 GB, but it has XP and everything works on it. Then there are two PCs with XP, and I'm getting ready to clean them up and give them away as gifts for people who don't even have a computer. I won't need them anyway.. I'll miss all the good music I have on them though.

Janine.. Where do you find the time to gather all those great music links? I used to be able to download music from a russian site for like 99 cents a song, or even for a whole CD. Still had money in my account, but they disappeared somehow after four years, or they were banned - go figure.
I wonder what kind of music I'll find while I'm spooking as I'm sure Elvis is not doing without..

I finally got flashplayer installed and glad I did because I enjoy the music Janine included here. The bald dude makes me wish I were a little younger and healthier, but such is life. I still have my memories - and lately some pretty cool dreams.. maybe that's due to the meds, but who cares! I actually woke up 'moist' this morning after a dream and that isn't happened in a longgggg time.

Doing good babe, and you? I've just answered to quite a few relationship posts that I've neglected lately and feel good that I'm back in the "saddle" as one can say. I really feel motivated today for some reason. It's probably the cocky wink I gave the receptionist at the doctor's today because she was surprised that I got so many Valium from the doctor. If she would have read my latest diagnosis she would have understood that it didn't matter whether I got 'addicted' to anything at this stage anymore. I swear, the germans are so stingy with medications lately, except for antidepressants - that's a cure-all to them, and I refuse to take them.

So now I can change that T-shirt iron-on to "Addicted Dead Woman Walking" ain't that a joke!

I hope nobody will ask me if I care whether I'll get addicted or not, because I don't think I can hold back with a smart reply.

Got me a new digital camera today at the second hand store and Larry is my model. I'll post some pictures soon - I also want to get some more cute ones of Alex first, than post them. I might even let Jaime take one of me and include that...

Chery, you crack me up! I am fine! Sometimes people are only thinking for that one little moment, can't blame them I do it too... BUT it can really get to you sometimes. Wish I could be there to here your smarty pants quick reply to the person who askes you if you are worried about getting addicted to meds... I really do.

When young kids get cocky with me, I tell them that once they've learned all of what I already forgot, then they can imply that they are smarter than me... I amazed them that sometimes I'm one or two step ahead and can tell what they think or are planning and I put a stop to it by telling them how I used to act when I was their age, and I didn't get away with it either, so no chance for them. They don't think of anything new, just an updated version of crap we thought of before they were even born. That always gets them.

Once they realize we know all the tricks, they tend to give up.

Tell the girls that gravity will take over some day in their lives too, that's always a good one. Also that we have already earned our wrinkles, what's their excuse...
