Mellowkat:
I will try to take a couple of pics this weekend. It seems like mono would lighten you to your original undertone. I have a yellow undertone as well. My plan is to get around the light yellowish complexion and maybe use self-tanner. I love the bronze look. Beyonce does this a lot with her skin. It looks really healthy.

The faster or harsher the strength, the more likely you will get white streaks. I have noticed a FEW white spots on my legs, but I think it's because I have not moisturized my legs like I do my face. By the way, I use the monobenzone cream on my face about 5 times a week. My face is not itchy and nor has it been excessively dry. Sometimes I even use it twice a day!
I am noticing results!!! My hands have lightened drastically. The key is sunscreen! I am one of the few who only wants to LIGHTEN with mono, not turn pale or stark white. Unfortunately I cannot posts pics due to privacy reasons, but I may be able to find a photo of a spare body part. LOL.
Just to mention, I try to take REALLY good care of my skin so that may be another reason why the mono has not had a negative reaction on my face (knock on wood). I use an exfoliant everyday, along with pure vitamin C serum, moisturizer, and 45 SPF sunscreen. I also use Retin-A to keep acne at bay and to help with cell turnover. Which in turn, will give you a brighter, more radiant complexion.
When I am cycling off of the Retin A, I use a Lactic Acid peel twice a week. Annnnd every 3 or 4 months I have been doing a Jessner Peel, which is a chemical peel. So, with doing all of this...my skin is radiant, supple, and acne free! :-)
This is a long post, but I hope this information led some of you in the right direction with not just skin lightening, but also forming good skin care habits. One more thing: When I use the monobenzone, I only use it RIGHT AFTER I wash my face. Therefore, your skin should be kind of damp (not wet). That way, it will actually absorb more evenly.
Hope this info helps....

What does Vitamin C serum do? It sounds good! And do you know where I can get Retin A from?

HI Loveme1980, thanks for the information!
I have a lot of questions coming to mind, I hope you don’t mind answering them?
Have you been using the mono all over your body as well (apart from face)?
What % mono are you using on the face, I mean is it 20% as well or diluted?
If you apply to body, do you do it everyday or 5 days a week as well, like the face?
Also, do you use Vit C, moisturiser, sunscreen and Retin A everyday and how long have you been using them?
How is your regimen, in the sense, do you apply mono first and then wait for it to absorb before applying the other things, or do you apply mono in morning/evening and the others in evening/morning or is it on alternate days etc?
Lastly, you are seeing good results, so would you attribute it to the exfoliant, vit C, peels etc or do you think it’s the mono (especially if you’ve been using the other things since a long time)?
I am sorry I’m asking too many questions lol!
Myself: I have started with 5% mono. Of course I don’t expect to see results immediately because it’s only been like 2 days. I apply once all over (body+face) in the morning. I will wait patiently, am in no rush!

ALso, whom ever said you will lighten to your under tone(which mine is a light/pale golden)
That is not true, you will depigment, all of the melanin out of your skin.. eventually,
But starting ,like the first couple of years, you will turn into your under tone color, then after like 5 or 6 yrs, is when you will start to turn, really white!

Hey everyone...
Sheralcrow, if you only want to lighten with mono, hopefully, you wouldn't use it for 5 or 6 years. The key is to use it off and on so you don't depig entirely. That is why they suggesting using it only once a week after you have achieved your desired complexion.
Vitamin C serum is great! Go to www.lotioncrafters.com and buy the vitamin c crystals/l-ascorbic acid. It is cheaper this way and you can make your own. If you purchase it already made, it will cost you about 50.00. Click on the link below to read more about Vitamin C
Vitamin C derivatives: skin benefits of ascorbic acid without the downside
Whiteskinwish:
Yes, I use the Vitamin C all over my body, including my face. It use 20%. It is not diluted, but I dilute mine on my own by adding lotion (to prevent dryness). I only use mono on my body about 4-5 times a week. Honestly, I haven't used the Vitamin C in a while because I ran out. I need to buy more. But... I exfoliate in the morning, then while my face is damp I use a moisturizer along with the mono. I wait 30 minutes so the mono and moisturizer can absorb evenly, and then I add sunscreen.
When I use the Vitamin C... it's sort of a hassle because I have to wait even LONGER before I can add the mono and lotion. However, the Vitamin C would normally come before the monobenzone. Vitamin C shouldn't clog your pores unless you have SUPER oily skin. If so, just make sure you use the serum, not the Vitamin C lotion.
If you have never used Retin A, believe me... you will not be able to use it twice a day. It is strong! Your face will peel, turn red and itchy, etc. Therefore, I only use it at night. I am telling you the stuff is magic! By the way, you can purchase Retin-A on the net (WITHOUT A SCRIPT). I've been using it for 2 years or so. The last time I ordered, I got it from www.medsmex.com. There's another site too, but I can't think of it now.
Sheralcrow, if you have oily skin, I would not use cocoa butter on your face. You should use a separate moisturizer your face and body. The moisturizers that are made for the body will DEFINITELY clog your pores. Aim for a lotion that is oil free. I recently used Phisoderm Daily oil moisturizer. It is so soft and the mono go on sooooo smooth. Here's the link for the one I used.
Oil Free Daily Moisturizer | pHisoderm | Beauty & Spa | Walgreens
Clean & Clear has a really good oil free moisturizer too. If you have problems with acne, the Clean & Clear has salicyclic acid that will keep the acne at bay.
I tried to answer everyone's questions. If I didn't just ask again... and I'll try to respond sooner. :-)

LOVEME1980, was that your birth year... lol...
Anyhow, you are right on track mommy!
I do get flare ups, around that time of the mnth, like (1) white -head, that is barely noticeable, sometimes, and sometimes, it looks gross, so I am afraid of putting anything on my face...
Besides, retin a, and my gentle cleanser, and my glycolic acid exfoliator...
But my skin is really dry, which is weird... lol.. my skin is schizophrenic... lol..
Sometimes dry, and very rarely moistened... if it is too dry it will sometimes brake out, but if I put a moisterizer on it, it sometimes cloggs my pores(chin), mostly my pores, are open, cause I have harmonal irregularties.. but I won't get into all of that...
Back to you loveme1980... you deem knowledgeable on the nature at hand... and I like /appreciate your info...
And it is funny, I just got off a forum, talking about the clean and clear oil free advantage(and I was thinking great, a good moisterizer I can mix my mono with,lol.. ) and you say it is good?
Cool I think I will go with that for my face and mono mix... do you add an alcohol with it, some say it makes it work better? But I think alcohol is bad for the skin , right?
Then I will add the vitamin c. serum, if it won't clogg my pores, next I will hopefully find a non pore clogging spf... can you recommend any?
Also, some on that forum were talking about making their own moisterizer, from PURE GLYCERIN, 1 DROP, AND 4-5 DROPS OF WATER... OR MORE DEPENDING ON THE QUANTITY, OF SIZE YOU WOULD NEED... being I will get a pound of mono, I won't to make one hughe jar for my facee(either the clean and clear, or the other you have mentioned.. and the mono) and one for my body... which I really don't mind what I use to mix with mono for my body... what do you use... could you use a glycolic acid lotion, or would that be too much?
Help loveme1980, you know what you are doing!
THANKS!

CAUSE THIS DEEMS, A COST EFFECTIVE ROUTE...
AND HOW IN THE HECK DO YOU PUT VITAMIN C. SERUM ALL OVER YOUR BOD... ARE YA RICH ?LOL... LOL...
Also, the other site you posted about making cosmetics looks really good... might have to take a look at it!

To Sheralcrow:
There are tons of people who have not completely depigged
It just depends on how much mono you use
If you use 20% or higher continuously after your desired shade
You MIGHT completely depig
But if you use 20% or lower you will surely not

I have found Vitamin C powders which are for food. Would I be able to use that for my skin or do I have to purchase one which is exclusively for the face?
I have also found a serum in a shop which is a bit cheap. It says 12% Vitamin C. Is that OK?

Hi, I am new here and wanted to know if anyone can Pm or email me a good source to obtain . I found a few sources online but, I think so far lovie1 seem to have a good source. I have read all threads for the past few days about Monobenzone but, still not sure which source is good and I am not looking to spend a lot of money. I would appreciated if someone respond. Thanks!

Umm.. not true sorry..
If you use mono 3-4 months... your skin will repig if you stop.. definitely
If you want to go white.. you have to keep killing melanin..
If you use mono as a skin lightener you can get some shades lighter... but you can easily get back your normal skin color under sun expose..
I experienced it first hand..
