Shazzy, a long time ago, when Sydney was still a baby, I worked for a few months at my Uncles business, he does chipping. His partner is a vet.
Here in Canada shelter dogs are chipped when they are adopted. Jasper was 4 months old when we got him and he was chipped. I got to go in back with them (because they know me) and he didn't even flinch.
Not that I'm telling you to do it now, no harm in waiting, just want you to know that it's really not as bad as it seems. The needle is big but if the vet is good they won't feel it. Really. :)
Oh, also, he's freaking adorable and I'm not usually a fan of the Chinese crested. Yours is too cute though. Congrats. :)

Mum gets hers chipped before 8 weeks, when they go in for their last vaccination, I've seen it, I know it's not that bad, but I still feel mean somehow :o
And thanks Alty, it's funny, every single person who has seen him (even pet store employees) have said "What's wrong with his ears" followed by "He's not as ugly as I thought they were" :D

Well he is a cutie. I love the fur around his paws, makes him look like a clydsdale (sp?). ;)
He's really a sweet looking dog. I can't wait to see his ears. ;)

I thought that his ears were a crown
I find your dog somewhat strange... =/ I guess I'm not used in seeing furless dogs except at certain parts...

OHH he's SO CUTE! What kind of puppy is he? And why do you put his ears in tape to make them stand? I've never understood that. Is it just for Aesthetic purposes?

The tape is put on their ears just to help them stand erect.
You don't actually crop this breed (Chinese Crested), you just have to strap the ears up when they are puppies because the muscle isn't strong enough to support their ears yet, and if you don't do it they can flop down.
This is close to what he will look like as an adult, similar colors anyway

He'd freeze if I got him. I live in Canada, he'd need a snow suit to go outside in the winter.
Even my beagle can't tolerate the cold. He's the first dog I've had that I actually purchased a sweater for. I'm so ashamed. ;)

Don't worry, Shazzy is really easy going. She wouldn't be insulted. She will get revenge though. ;)

Is it a tiny puppy? I think I have seen something like that, but they were all really tiny, like a toy:confused:

It's a small African Deer. Their hoofprints are the size of a nickel. :)

CA - No Pets Law

I have been doing research online and I noticed in NY, that if a tenant has a pet for longer than 3 months and the landlord is aware of it and the landlord does not enforce the "no pets" terms of the lease than the tenant can keep the pet for the length of their tenancy. In the state of California...

If my partner and I take the next big step of living together, we would be bringing together two sets of pets (still an if at this stage, although we've both wondered how we would deal with all the pets if we did).
He lives on a 5 acre property with a big, gorgeous, cat friendly Rottweiller...
