Its not permanent,, :D he got the pups a couple of days back. He'l be using the rope a few days more until they are settled in the farm and the surroundings, and then they'l be set free. They'r too young for a collar now and the dog chains we get here are too heavy for a pup.

Thank goodness. Dogs chained to poles for their entire lives keep making the news, I hoped these guys were not due for celebrity.

Dad keeps them chained only when they are taken out for a walk. We have a open roof. He sets them free upstairs at night...
We had a hard time with rukmini. She was very ferocious... had to keep her on the roof all the time. She chased every person who walked into our property without calling my dad out, she chased all the cats and chickens which entered our farm,, killed a few cats and chickens too...

Oh no... they won't. We have 2-3 feet compound walls on the roof and the stairs have a gate half way down. There'z a big room without door for them to sleep in if it rains.

    Shikha and Laddoo,,

Shikha was our 1st cat 'Chikki's' first kitten.

We got Laddoo many years later.

Unfortunately both Shikha and Laddoo lived a very short life. Shikha (8 months) was killed after he ate poisoned fish that was kept for stray dogs (our good-for-nothing neighbor kept the fish though he was asked not to) and Laddoo was attacked by another big cat. Laddoo was just 4 months old.
