    Head and chest cold
I am currently 34 weeks pregnant, so there are a lot of things that are off limits for me right now. I was hoping someone could give some insite on what I might be able to take to clear up a head/chest cold. I'm currently taking my prenatal vitamins as well as vitamin C. I've been drinking lots of herbal tea with honey, and drinking more water than I can fit in. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Have you tried Vicks(or any other kind) vapor rub balm?
Try rubbing them on your back, chest and forehead.

I forgot that I've also been using that as well. It worked really well the first night, but last night not so much. I woke up coughing pretty bad several times. I thought about going to the doctor, but once I get up and moving I'm okay... just some coughing and congestion. And everything coming out is clear (sorry if tmi.) I've also found some all natural Halls cough drops. I was just hoping to kick this quickly since I'm already miserable.
I will have to try rubbing it in the different places. It also works when rubbed in to the soles of your feet.

Maybe the coughing is bringing up the mucous up and out of your system.

Have you tried staying under a blanket right after the balm rub and breathe deeply to get the vapor effect of the balm?

Or you could try steaming with the balm (http://mywebpages.comcast.net/mother...ial-steam.gif).

Other herbal medications must be taken under doctor/therpist supervision and advise as it could have an effect on you or your baby.

I don't have an answer for you but you might be interested in this,,
I am 39 years old and I live in Montreal Ca.
I get colds at least twice a year until
    No cold since !
I thought that was weird, so I looked at my diet / way of life /
    Indoor / outdoor activity ,
    And I realized one thing,
I quit my job 3 years ago, and I have had a job since I was 18 !
I went into renovation for myself , and I have been rarely
In close contact with public since then, which made me think that
I might of stumbled on that age old debate,,
Do we get colds from going out in the cold , or from other people??
I am an outdoor type, summer and winter , so I'm ruling out the weather !
This is why when you look at eastern countries, such as China or Japan,
We see a lot more people with masks on there faces,
Than you would in north America,
They realize the real reason we get colds,
And it's not from going out in the cold without a hat on , or not
    Being dressed properly enough !
