Again, better but.
2 days ago I had chronic nausea with a headache, inability to take in foods or liquids, feeling tired, yet no fever at all. This happened on Christmas day and last year at exactly the same time. Lasts for most of the day, then the nausea disappears around 10PM (then I eat dinner!). Also I am pre-diabetic(take glucophage) and normally my fingersticks are between 90-100 fasting but when the nausea comes on my fasting glucose can be 150. Then when the nausea gets better and vanishes the glucose level plummets down and next day will be normal. In fact, yesterday after I recovered my glucose was 83.
I already checked this with my doctor who said it's normal that my glucose gets elevated from not feeling well either due to a virus or infection. I was scared I was eeveloping full blown diabetes
The thing is I basically never get sick from the flu or any actual stomach virus. But as mentioned above I always seem to get nausea with an ill feeling in this weather but never any fever or vomiting. And then when it's over the next day I feel great and totally rejuvenated
What do you make of the nausea and the ill feeling? I take Diovan for high BP, glucophage for glucose intolerance (pre-diabetes) and Paxil for social anxiety (which seriously helps). Could it be Paxil which causes constipation which can lead to nausea?
Any ideas?
Thanks for reading
