    DVD recorder has no tuner
I bought a new DVD player to replace the one I wrote about earlier. This one does have a coaxial cable connector, but doesn't have a tuner. It's a Samsung DVD-R155. I have cable in my apt but haven't had a translator box in years, just using the tuner in the TV or video machine do all the tuning. I talked to Samsung tech support, and he said that I would need to have a VCR in the line before the recorder in order to tune the signal.

Isn't there a Radio Shack fix for this? Will I have to get a VCR or a tuner from TWC in order for this to work?

When I saw all those movies about the wonderful gadgets we'd have in the 21st century I never thought about how we'd cope with learning how to use them. :)
