REGARDING:"My plate is stuck in my pot!"THANKYOU TO ALL-we had fettucine last night!
REGARDING: "My plate is stuck in my pot!" QUESTION WHICH I POSTED WAY BACK:
"I have a teen. After eating their meal, & without intention, "someone" (inadvertently) dropped their plastic flat dish into a pot (filled with water), with the same circumference. The pot was in the sink waiting to be washed, soaking some food that had been stuck after cooking. My problem: I absolutely cannot get the dish out. It seems as if it has been suctioned very tightly into the pot. I would appreciate any tips, suggestions etc. on how to remove it PLEASSSSSSSSEEEE!! This is one of my best pots for cooking pasta - made of stainless steel. Thank you very much!"

I finally did it!! I boiled water in the pot with the stuck plate and had to really work hard to get it out by using a knife, fork, metal bbq spit point, and a whole lot of growling, and swear words and nearly giving up... but finally - it came out!!

I want to say that I appreciate all of the replies and Thank You everyone for all your support, all of your truly fantastic suggestions, opinions and advice... they were great! :D

I have a china plate (saucer sized, but w/out indentation where teacup would go, so maybe a small luncheon plate?) that is white with gold trim around the edges and a ring of pink roses. On the bottom, there is a pink marking (stamped on, not a label or impression in the china) that says "GERMANY...

Hey there! I've got a 3" cast iron soil stack, with a 1 1/2" Tee fitting which has a plug in it. There's some goop at the joint, it's pretty hard. Not quite JB-weld hard, but hard. It's beige colored. There's not a lot of room in the space, but I've gotten an 18" pipe wrench on it and i...
