    Vista 32 bit and Realtek HD Audio
    Hi All can anyone plze help I am sitting here with a Vista 32 bit Home Premium fully uploaded with realtek HD audio speakers.. codecs fully installed and updated they are showing that they are in working order (plugged in the right spot).. volume set at full blast.99 but neither the windows sound test nor a cd will play. Media Player or Media Center will not play a cd, dvd or otherwise. I know that most dvd files have to be converted to play and they will play on a regular dvd player no probs but not on here, No cd`s no dvd no sound. So I am out of 750 big ones that I pd to have a new updated version of Windows Vista with all the fancy gadgets and trimmings, card readers etc,. that most programs either won't run in or have to be converted to configured as to working as on an XP... so if anyone can plze tell me how the @@@@@@@ to get sound on this thing before I go bonkers tying to figure it out Ièd greatly appreciate it... Furthermore, for those who think on switching don't... I wish I just put my money into the other xp computer that has cd drive floppy 90 GB double hard drives... space for a cd dvd burner and could run a whole lot better... for what good is a big waste of money for something that apparently causes more headache than enough... doesn't run at the click of buttons... big fancy name... new programs,, big money... looks nice but don't open the box... it isn't worth it... thanks for your response...

    PS can't take it back as the box has already been recycled or I would... it is not even a month old...
