    Arrrgh windows media 9!
    Hello, my version of wmp9 has stopped playing dvds.

    I have followed all the web help,changed to lowest possible resolutions,refresh rates,updated drivers and even tried to d/l the latest wmp11 only to be told my version of windows is not genuine and cannot proceed with the installation.

    What is going on with windows software these days?

    I was having problems with playback of dvd for a while due to not having a dvd codec for audio which I fixed by d/l ac3filter. Sounds great through my stereo. Now it's the opposite, I can't see anything but the sound is fine.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Oh and I thought I had better mention that wmp9 still recognises that all the codecs and required software is operating fine? So I`m at a loss to figure out what the problem is.
