    US Citizenship case stucks for over 3 years.
    Hello;

    Thanks for your answers previously.

    Here is an another one what I really unable to solve. If you guys have any idea, I would be very grateful.

    I filed for the US Citizenship on March, 2004. My fingerprints were taken, I was interviewed by an Immigr. Officer on Jan. 2005 -successfully passed the tests-, I was scheduled to the naturalization oath ceremony, then 2 weeks later I was de-scheduled from the oath ceremony. The USCIS currently takes 6-8 months to complete its processing of application for naturalization. My application has been pending for over three years!
    The US Immigration claims they scheduled me to the oath ceremony by mistake, because something's wrong with my CLEARANCE what comes from the FBI. The US. Immigr. Can do nothing until they'll receive my clearance from the FBI. The FBI makes background check and name check. Probably my background check has gotten the clearance and my name check got stuck. I don't have criminal record, I pay my taxes... There is a web-side where anybody has a right to get his own background check for $18 but no opportunity for name check. The FBI doesn't give any information through phone neither by e-mail (or if does you very lucky!), the US Immigration and lawyers have no power to questioning them.
    What am I supposed to do to get my clearance??

    I have a misprint on my green card -I've already written about it previously- may this is the main problem and I am willing to correct it as soon as I can. (The misprint is about my gender, I got a capital "F" on it but I am a male).

    I started this case with a lawyer, a probably friend, who lives in a totally different state than me. We didn't imagine at the start this case comes to this far... My lawyer doesn't have the state BAR so she cannot represent me in court where I want to take my case -I have no other idea. I've already tried the congressman, may he could help, but nothing happened. Now, I am about filing a Writ Mandamus without lawyer who is unable represent me in court, at least I possess the documents... May I can't afford a local lawyer... Don't mention I am not so good in English to argue with a judge, I am European.

    What are my chances to win this case by myself? According to an article the Writ Mandamus has a high successfully rate and the name check get the clearance in two months... others have totally different opinions. Of course the best would be if somebody could make a review on my case, anybody who has the power for it, but who..
    Anyway, what can I do if the FBI doesn't give informations about what's wrong, how can I correct something if I don't know what's wrong? And my main problem, when will I have my Citizenship, it's been over 3 years instead of a few months?

    Please, please, advise me.

    Zoltan
