    Start bar problems
I have a really weird problem with my start bar in Windows XP. Every time I add a new tool bar to it (e.g. address book or quick launch bar) it looses the new settings after I restart or log off. Even if I open task manager and kill explorer and restart it the new toolbars will have disappeared. The only exception to the rule was the Google deskbar and Google Desktop search. I used to have the deskbar installed and I could not turn it off. I installed the destop search bar and then I could turn off the deskbar but I could not remove the desktop search bar. I have now uninstalled both of them but my problem stays the same. I have even run a repair on my OS and it still made no difference. If you need any clarification on this problem just let me know. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
