    Could I Be Pregnant?
Around a week and a half ago my boyfriend and I were having sex and the condom broke. (We're both 18) No idea how, but it broke. And he full on came inside of me. The next day was Veterans Day so all doctors offices were closed. The day after we went in and I got the PlanB pill. So on the 12th I took the pill. Today's the 23, I'm planning to get a pregnancy test today. But lately my emotions have been all over the place (which I've heard the pill can cause). I Don't know if this has anything to do with it but I've also had to pee an excessive amount lately as well. My period is scheduled to be on the 28th so technically it's not late yet, but I've just felt so off. I don't know if its all just nerves or if there's actually something to be worried about. It's 3am and I can't sleep I'm so scared, but its too early to catch a bus to the store to get a test so for now I'm just asking you all. And I hope someone replies soon.
    Xo.

Waste of time and waste of a test taking a test until you are two weeks late. Odds are it will result in a negative even if you are that soon. Of course it can screw with your normal period as well.

If you are this afraid of a pregnancy you should be relying on at least TWO forms of birth control. One backs the other up and increases the effectiveness of either used alone. No form of birth control is ever 100% effective. And you need a boyfriend that pays more attention. Seriously...I'm 54, and if a condom breaks or comes off....I could feel it every time (no it didn't happen often). True its not a HUGE difference but it is he should be able to feel.

He also should never carry it in his wallet. Which I bet he did. Nor should the be kept in the glove-box of a car.

When they break they have usually been mishandled, OLD or stored incorrectly.

The condom failed because they have a 3 to 18 percent failure rate. They just fail.
Many times failure is because they are not properly put on. (space needs to be left at the end) And/or because they have gotten too hot, or have gotten old.

Also you should have gotten plan B without seeing a doctor, just by going to a drug store, so it should have been available.

With that said, pregnancy could happen. And plan b is not 100 percent effective if taken right away, so with it taken latter, it is less effective.

There is no use buying a test now, it is far too early to test. You need to wait till you are at least 2 week late to test.

BUT>>> taking plan b, can cause you many side effects (assume you read the warning info) one of them is missing the period this time.

A stressful time for you, no doubt, but all you can do is wait and see. That you took the plan B within 72 hours is helpful.

See what happens when you expect your period. Sometimes, plan B may alter your next cycle, so give it a few days to see if it is just late; no period, try a test.

Consider an additional form of birth control if you plan to continue to engage in sex. Regular birth control pills, for example, taken consistently, will protect you better than the plan B.
