I have a strange grass or weed that is beginning to pop up all over my yard. It's "arms" are long, wiry, noodle-looking and they are white at the base and grow out to pinkish red on the tips. It kind of looks like sprouts. As they grown, they sprial and twist... they don't grow straight out. Some are only green colored without the white/pink hues.

I have been in this home for 3 springs and have never seen these before. The most mature one is a little over two feet long. I dug up one and the roots have lots of white bulbs like a flower would. The also have an oder almost like an onion.

I have attached a picture in hopes someone knows what this is so I can purchase the correct remedy to rid myself.
