    Green card to Citizenship
    Hi there

Once I get my Green Card, is it mandatory or an option that I should take up US citizenship? Is it possible for me to remain a US permanent resident indefinitely without becoming a citizen? Reason I am asking is because my country doesn't allow for dual-citizenship and I am very unwilling to give mine up.

If I could remain permanent resident, how often do I have to renew my Green Card?

    Thank you for your answers.
