How Can I Help My Little Brother?
I am 16 years old and the oldest out of 3. I have 2 younger brothers, Leo (12yrs) and Adam (9yrs). Back in March my parents announced they were going to get a divorce. My dad continued to live with us for about a month after the news, it was extremely awkward. When all of this happened I had a mental break down, I would cry and scream at my mom, I felt like I was 6 throwing a temper tantrum. I'm finally a bit more stable with this but it still hurts a lot. Tonight I overheard my youngest brother Adam (9) crying in my moms room telling her things I had told her when I first heard about all of it. She'd tell him everything was going to be okay, and he'd reply "No it won't. Because you guys aren’t together anymore" Literally something I had said a few months ago. He's been crying and I want to be able to help him. I can't convince myself to tell him everything is going to be okay because I haven’t even accepted that yet. He's my brother, if I told him that he'd know I wasn’t telling the truth. I need ideas on how to make him feel better, and maybe even make me feel better. I need to know some fun activities we could do or make. I'd also like to know what I should do when my other brother Leo (12) has a breakdown. I don't know what will help boys, being a girl the things that cheer me up wouldn’t cheer them up. Thank you for your help, I value you're responses.
    Xoxo

First off set the example through your behaviors, actions, feelings, etc. Screaming at your mom doesn't help anything. This is a difficult time for everyone including your parents.
