How this birth control pill can affect me?
I am diagnosed having an ovarian cyst last month, my ob gave me a birth control pill or contraceptive, because she said it is the cure for my cyst. This month, I came to ob, the cyst go smaller.

That pill helped in my cyst, will it also prevent me from being pregnant? (I know it's a birth control pill, I just want to make sure, because it was given for my cyst, not for birth control, I'm teenager, virgin.)

I'm asking this because my boyfriend rubbed his penis on my vagina with no protection, and I'm a little bit scared. By the way, I'm on my 2nd month of taking the pill, the brand is athea.

Birth control pills are primarily for birth control. There are other things, such as cysts, that they may work on, but basically they are birth control.

It should protect you from pregnancy, but birth control is not always 100% effective. To prevent pregnancy it's best not to have sex until you are ready to be a parent.
