I've seen pics on Facebook. The likeness is uncanny. (ok, so I've always just wanted a reason to use that sentence ^_^)

I have to get him and unky in for rabies shots. After that I'll be able to take them to get fixed. There's a traveling clinic that comes around several times a month that's a lot cheaper than any vet. They just have to have their rabies shots, first.

I'm looking at the photos of those nubile young female cats and thinking how pretty they are. Of course, Spot still has several months to go before he gets interested in dating...

yeah, I'm keeping a CLOSE eye on the boys. Their balls haven't even started to drop, yet, and there's no mounting behavior. I just want to get them fixed before it even thinks of becoming an issue. After that, I can worry about getting the girls fixed.
it'll be easier to get the two boys fixed, first. Not only is it cheaper to get boys snipped, but they heal faster. I really don't want to have to worry about more than one spayed female with stitches, at a time. It'll also mean I don't have to worry about my house smelling like spray.
although, the way edith's going, it's going to end up smelling like cat pee. She's peed on my couch twice in the past week to let me know she thought the litter box needed cleaned. This morning, she peed on my FOOT to get me to clean the box. A couple hours ago, she tried it AGAIN! The box is not dirty. Even with 5 cats, I do not need to clean the two litter boxes every 12 hours.
any ideas how to get a cat to stop peeing on me? A friend suggested that maybe she's trying to mark me because she's in heat. She's been in heat for about a week, and a few times before this, and never tried to pee on ME before today. I'm going to beat her senseless or put a diaper on her or something. I can deal with her peeing on the couch or spraying random things. Peeing ON me is crossing a line.

I got a picture of spot at his new job, as fan jockey.
Yes, his fur is exactly as soft as it looks, and his tail is as long as it looks.

Hmmm, maybe she wants you to be her boyfriend. Even unspayed females can spray, so be happy she's only peeing, not spraying. How about getting her spayed soon?
Yeah, boys are easy to get fixed. Thomas came home the same day from his surgery and was snapping his fingers and acting like nothing had happened. When we got the two female ferals spayed last fall, we did them one at a time and kept each caged in the garage overnight, but then let each loose the next day. Both are happy and healthy and about ready (socialized) to come indoors -- probably when it starts getting cold. They do so enjoy climbing the trees next to our one-story house and tromping around and sunbathing on the roof. We have a very cat-friendly indoors, so they shouldn't miss too much when they come inside permanently.
Did your work hours change? Or are you still afternoon-evening?

Long story short, I called in work sick, got called back terminated. Being late a couple days combined with calling off one day due to back spasms tallied up against me. Then, I got knocked out by something this past week that had me sleeping 16-20 hours a day.

I doubt I was there long enough to qualify for unemployment. I'm looking for another, but with the money I was able to set aside while I was there, I have a month or two before it gets dire.
just getting that job has done wonders for my confidence. I'm 23, and that was the first 'real' job I've ever had (meaning one that required me to pay taxes). I look at it this way, most people get the petty jobs that don't last very long out of the way as teenagers. I'm just getting a late start ^_^

How long were you there? (The kitties are probably glad to have you home again.) I'm glad it was a boost to your confidence. I don't want things to bog down for you again.

I was only there 4 weeks.
The kitties seem much happier to have me home. Spot no longer attaches himself to my leg when I try to go outside. That may be because I'm wearing sandals, and not shoes. And I've only left the house once in the past week, to get cat food.
Which reminds me, I really should check my mail at some point.

Nope, no more playing with nipples at work. My next job will probably be more along the lines of retail. They frown on employees playing with nipples at most stores.
