How to abtain the birth certificate of My german grandfather
My grandfather was German arrived in Ecuador with a contract to work in a German company that processed the tagua ( tropical seed ) called "Casa Tagua" He had two marriages, His first wife died after they had two children. After his first wife died He married my grandmother and they had five children my mother was one of those children. I understand my brother, sister and I can possibly be eligible to obtain a German passport. I want to start the request of the German passport, however I do not have my Grandfather's birth certificate. He left Germany long before the war and died in 1942 so what are the procedures to solicit a copy of his passport, birth certificate or other documents relevant to this procedure. I have some basic information like where he was born and dates and his last names. How, where and whom should I ask for a copy of his birth certificate passport visas he had to enter the USA possibly on business? Thank you for taking the time to unswers these question
