    Survival Films
    My fiancé loves survival films - particularly mountaneering films where people are stranded, or there is a plane crash.

    Does anyone know any good films like that?

    Cliffhanger is a type of survival film. Cliffhanger (film - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)
    Survival on the Mountain is another. Survival on the Mountain (1997) (TV)

    Joe Simpson, the guy from Touching the Void, has a new film out called The Beckoning Silence. It`s about a real life ascent of the Eiger`s north face, and it`s very good.

    I don`t know if it`s out on dvd yet, but if it is you should check it out.

    The white spider seems to be a good movie, didn't see it,
    Its about the first people to climb the north face of the mount everest,
    Touching the void and the beckoning silence are films of 2 guys surviving on the north face telling about their adventure, in one of the 2 one of the guys is mentioning the white spider.
