2yr old not sleeping through the night
Hello! I am a single mother of a 2yr old little girl & have 1 on the due in May/10. My 2 yr old used to be such a good baby to put to bed. I would give her a bath at around 8:30ish & give her goodnight hugs & kisses and off she would go to bed all on her own in her play pen with her stuffed duck she calls her "baby". For the past week or so she has been waking up at say between the hrs of 1-2am & is up for several hours. I have tried giving her warm milk before bedtime, getting her to come & sleep with me when she does wake up & putting her to bed at maybe an hour later then usual but these do not seem to work! I have even tried waking her up early in the morning after being up most of the night & having her nap in the afternoon for 2 hrs at the most and having her in bed by 9 and she still tends to wake up in the middle of the nights! I am trying to get her back on schedule for when the new baby arrives because I know that I will surely need to get SOME rest! Please help!

I had the same problem a couple of months back I was pregnant and have a almost 3 year old boy who was sleeping really well then as I got closer to giving birth he started chaging his ways an to tell you the truth I also tried everything and nothing seemed to work he did come out of the habit himself after a few weeks but it was hard on myself I was a high risk pregnancy so I had to take it easy. Anyway maybe try cutting her daytime sleep back to an hour an don't let her nap after 3 in the arvo I have always found with my boy and friends children that if they sleep longer than an hour an slept after 3 they would wake in the night its worth a try it might just solve the problem hope this helps goodluck an congrats on bub

Ok friends, here's another question for you. Is it normal for a two year old to not be sleeping through the night? My son has basically never slept through the night. There will be an occasional night that he does, but for the most part, he wakes up several times a night. I am tempted to just let...
