My boyfriend gets student grants from his school for being a full time straight A student. He work part time in order to go to school for 15 hours at a time. He uses his grant money to suplement the short coming in his salary to pay for for expenses, such as food, rent and of course, books and tution. Well, we are about to purchase a house and we heard that you can use school grant money and add that too taxage wages for being approved through a person who recently purchases a house and did that. I have looked everywhere to see if that is true, but I cannot find an answer. We would be able to afford the monthly bills, with or without his grant, but I just hope that it does not affect us being approved for the loan if we put his, teeny tiny part time wages. Can you do that, use the grant money that you use for rent, and outside school expense (which are taxable) and include them to your income for approval for a loan?
