Can we stop the text speak already?
For all of you who would rather this have started "4 all uv u" this is for you.

First, read the rules: Ask Me Help Desk - FAQ: Terms of Service, FAQ and How To Use This Site
Especially number two. It specifically states that text talk is not allowed.

Second, many of the users here who has an opinion that actually matters will ignore you. If you actually want help, you would be most likely to get it by using correct English. That means, yes, spelling out all of your words and taking the time to move your finger down a key to press the "." or "," once in a while. (Ooh, the horror!)

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, here's a short list:
u: It's spelled out "you". Please, it's just two more letters. The same goes for "ur", "ull", etc.
ur: This needs further expanding. There is "your", and "you're", and they have different meanings. Learn them.
2: There are multiple means for "2" also. There is "to", "too", and "two". Please learn to use the right one.
4: There is the number "four" and the word "for". There's also the golf "fore". It's not that hard.
idk: Yes, it means "I don't know". Why is it on this list? I don't know, possibly because not everyone knows what it means, it isn't a real word, or it could also stand for "I'm-a dumb kook".
brb: Not only is there more things than the last one, but this is a forum, not chat. You can always come back and check, so there is no reason to even say that.
wat/wut/wt: It's "what" and nothing else. If you try to shorthand this word (or any of the "w question" words) it just looks stupid. There are at max five letters, it's not too hard.
n: Here's another: "in", and "and". You can't use one letter to represent two completely different words. You shouldn't even use it to represent one of them.
    c: I "see" the "sea", I don't "c the c".
da/teh/etc.: It's "the". Three letters, one of the most common words. Your posts look ridiculous with something like this.
kk/&&: Now, you're just being crazy. It's "okay" but "k" is almost acceptable. An ampersand (&) is an accepted way to say and. However, typing double just wastes time and energy. (And they say text speak is supposed to be quicker.)
r: It's "are" and nothing else. Or, if you're a pirate, it's "Aaaarrrr" or some variation thereof, but never "r".
y: Seriously, it's "why". It's very easy to type two extra letters.
no: When you are saying "no" it's fine, but when you are saying "know" it doesn't make any sense.

This is just a SHORT list. I'm sure I could come up with more. The point is, don't use it, talk in English, not teenagerish. I know this is the teens board, but you come here for help. How do you expect to get it if you are talking in a form of communication that is foreign to those trying to help you? You don't, you just annoy them, get reprimanded, and throw a hissy fit.

Not to mention you will never get along in the real world without using your language properly.

One final note: The top of the page says "Live Answers from Real Experts!". There's a reason it doesn't say "liv ansrs 4rm rel xprts", and just read above to find it.
