I'm 19 and I have a 2yr old daughter.. her dad has never been there for her.. and I wanted to get full custody of her and change her last name to mine. Because I was young and dumb and decided to give her his last name.. I've been calling everywhere but I don't really know the legal way to go about this. Can anyone help?

    I moved your post.

Well "full custody" you file in court for legal custody and it appears you already have physcial custody. If the father does not want visits, then none have to be written into the court order.

Then you get a child support order in place.

You get the father to agree to the name change, no problem

You can file for full legal custody in your local family court. It is pretty easy, especially since he doesn't seem interested. Just go to the court and ask the clerk where to file. Family court is very non-lawyer friendly.

As for the name change, that will require his consent. Best to see a lawyer about this.
