Well see Stringy, now's the time to take me on that Caribbean cruise we talked about! Marta and I will need your credit card. We'll try not to spend too much. Just a few spa visits and shopping trips... that's all we ask!

Wow. Congrats Sir Stringer! That's awesome! :)

No worries. :) I'm just in a funk. But, as you say, I'm strong and I WILL stand in this rain and be fine. (I'm singing a Superchick song these days - Stand in the Rain - and it's perfectly portraying where I'm living. Posted the lyrics under my QUotes thread)

Stringy's a janitor... hahahaha! Just jokin! ::hiding::

My leg? Well... we have Miss Snickers to thank for that! I was going shopping... my van wouldn't start... went to the neighbours to try and get a boost... snow was 2' deep and heavy... Nikster was excited... came barrelling at me... I went sideways... feet stayed straight and stuck in the snow... yelled for help... layed in snow... crawled home... took forever... ligaments torn... Niki in trouble. I think that about sums it up! LOL!

There can not be any bashing of Illinois, as I am still stuck here and actually today our weather isn't that bad!

BTW, Congrats Stringer. Got to love a great day in the office and a little stress off. :D

Lol sure their can! My dad loves when it snows, we have friends that still live up their so he calls to complain about how cold it is all through the winter. Stuff like "man it got down to 50 today its freezing! whats the weather like where your at?" the reply tends to be something along the lines of "(lots of cussing) 8 inches (some more cussing) snow(more cussing, this time at my dad because he is laughing so hard)". What are friends for? :)

Starby just so you know feet arnt meant to bend that way! Maybe next time you will know better.
p.s. starby that sounds painful sorry for the mishap.

You know my son is almost a twin of Tom Cruise. I think, of course that he is handsome and a good kid. But since he was about 17 people have been telling him that, he has had several people stop him in stores and on the street asking him for an autograph... P*sses off his wife big time...

    Thank you cuteee...

I really kind of like the Chicago area, I used to live in Lakeview Tower on the 26th floor facing east and west... but I like my home ion the western suburbs a lot to, more peaceful. And we are still close enough to go to the theater and clubs downtown...

But you need a getaway too... although I haven't had much time for 'getaways' lately...

Marta and I are planning to getaway to Mackinaw Island for two weeks this June... hopefully... :)

The drive up the eastern shore of Lake Michigan into the mountains is simply breathtaking, reminds me of Western Pennsylvania...

We aren't sure yet if we are staying at The Grand Hotel or at a bed and breakfast..

My first trip to Mackinaw Island was inspired by the movie 'Somewhere in Time' with Christopher Reeves... great movie... AND they have that very same picture in that small room at The Grand of the actress in the movie. Remember when he went into the room to look at her, it's actually still there from the movie.

Anyone remember this movie? All I can remember was that it was late 80's, early 90's, kind of Pulp Fiction-y Quentin Tarantino style movie. The only scene I remember was the main character who was a female (I think it might have even been Drew Barrymore?) driving some car smoking those Death...

Hose bib question "prier" brand [ 5 Answers ]

I've got a leaky hose bib that says PRIER on the body of the bib. I'm guessing PRIER is the name of the company that made it. It is a frost proof bib and it leaks only when it is turned on. It leaks around where the stem (part with the handle on it) screws into the bib body (part that is...
