About six months ago I signed temporary legal custody of my children to their fathers sister. I was in a bind and didn't have a job and my mother (who is a drug addict) was calling child services on me and they cam. I got scared and didn't know if they could take my kids or not so that's when I signed over temporary legal custody of them. I have never done anything like this before so I didn't know I was supposed to go to court for visitation. Now I can't get their guardian to answer the phone for me to see them. This has been a problem the whole time. She has now petitioned the court for termination of parental rights and adoption of MY children. What can I do and am I aloud to go get my kids and take them places with me if there has been no visitation established? I need help and I can't find anything anywhere to help me. Can someone out there please let me know something? She said her layer advised her not to let my children go anywhere with me but all my papers say is that I haven't petitioned the court for visitation. Which I didn't know to do. Is there anything I can do?

If I'm reading right, you only assigned temporary custody of the children to her; you didn't terminate your rights as their parent. She cannot keep you from them as they're legally your children, not hers. The court will not strip you of your parental rights unless you are a danger to them.
