Converting/playing mpg file?
All right. I'm at a loss.
I have an mpg video. I need to open it in either DVD Studio Pro, Final Cut or heck even quicktime so I can edit it. So far the only thing it will open in is VLC. Because VLC is awesome like that. I am currently operating on a Macintosh but I can move to a PC if there is a converting software that only PCs can us. What I've done so far: Downloaded the latest version of Perian in hopes I was missing a codec or something, no luck. Downloaded about 4 different types of converter software including the Aimersoft video converter. Some have worked unfortunately all the ones I have come across have limitations such as they only allow you to convert so much, i.e. 3 minutes (which is just enough time to get to the start of the video which is one of the things I need to edit BAH!) or it has a watermark or something crazy like that. I only need it once as it is a special case and it is over an hour long. Ideas? Suggestions? Explanation on as to why? |
