I already have custody of my great nephew my niece signed him over but on the paper work the lawyer put on there that he would be giving back if she goes to rehab or if a Judge says so. But anyway she has no intentions of doing rehab he has been with me for nine months and he is 12 months old now. It says she has to have supervisied visits but the problem is she isn't making any atempt to get clean and when no one in family gives her money she freaks out and says I'm getting my son back she uses him for a pawn all the time. Now she is acting like she is going to stay clean and once me to give him back in six months he don't even know who she is she didn't bother only time she called was for money. And she just used today so I know she isn't going to ever get clean anytime soon. But my question is can I go to court and get guardianship of him I would like to keep him with me and my family till 18 or when ever he wants. If she ever gets clean I would let her visit with him. But what steps do I have to take to get guardianship of him without rehab on it cause I don't trust her she will go rehab just to get him for a pay check. I don't think he should have to give up a good life just for someone who would lie and scam and use him for money. What steps do I need to take for guardianship and does she have to be there? We live in PA and if anyone knows a great lawyer Bucks area that wouldn't cost me an arm and leg lol
