    H4 visa
    Hi-
I am on H4 dependent visa my wife is on H1 visa. We both applied for extension of visa and been approved by USCIS on October 10. I came to know this by USCIS website. On September 25 my wife asked me to leave the house and I left to my friends place in kingston RI.About 3 days back she sent me divorce notice, I called her to send my H4 approved document, but she refused to send the document. Now I am without any visa status document with me.Please guide me to get my H4 document in best possible way.
    Thank you!

H-4 ends when your divorce is final, so if you want to remain in US, you need to change your status to other non-immigrant category. You should submit the application early as it takes about 90 days to change status with USCIS and it takes about 6 months for the divorce.

    Hello,

I have seen your question, it same as my friends question. She asked some law firms about this question. There are so many ways to cancel dependent visa, so make sure with immigrant lawyer for filing F1. My friend applied for F1 but unfortunately she could not changed the status with in the time frame. So, she left the country. If you are not changed the status immediately you have leave the country, there is no grace period for Non immigrant visas.
