    Immigration marrige fraud
    Hi,

    I would like to know what are the consequences for marring someone in another country for papers only. I know someone who wants to do this. The person does not want to listen to me, if only I let him know what could happen I think I will change his mind.

    Please help.

    If convicted, immigration fraud carries a maximum penalty of 25 years in prison and a. $250,000 fine, and making false statements carries a maximum penalty of 5 years in prison plus $250,000 fine on each count. However, the Court would determine the appropriate sentence to be imposed.
