    Thyroid and Anxiety.
    Can Thyroid issues lead to anxiety/depression?

    Thyroid issues can definitely lead to anxiety and depression, more so in older individuals. My mom had schizophrenia in her elder years and they never were able to adjust her meds for thyroid to compensate. Mine isn't all that great but doc says that no meds until it either goes completely over or under. I would rather she do that then fool around with the adjustment of meds because once thyroid meds are started for whatever reason, you ar on them constantly.
