If someone is needing the passport from Ghana, then according to the following site Ghana Passports these are the fees:

These are the current rates for getting a passport in Ghana.
50,000 cedis (US $6.25) - Waiting Period: 1 month. (This is the "official" rate.)
    500,000 cedis (US $62.50) - Waiting Period: 1 week.
    1,000,000 cedis (US $125) - Waiting Period: 1 day.
Now, how up to date that information is, I'm not sure.

There is also information on the site below that you might want to check out. Ghana Emabassy, Washington DC and it is also an organization to which might want to direct your inquiries for the most current information concerning passports.

You do realise over 99 percent of all dating and marriage emails from ghana are fruads. Go to the US embassy web site and most of it is warnings about fraud.

The girl there will ask for 500 to 1000 dollars for her visa, then they will need 1000 dollars in the bank before they are allowed to apply or get on the plane. Then there will be some payoff that has to be made.
And of course they normally want the money sent western union.

Have you ever sent this person any regular mail. I would seroiusly advise you to go there and visit them in their county before you sent any money there.
