The new Google browser
Does anyone know anything about or have any experience with the new Google browser? Is it any good and is it better than IE 7?

IE8 is more trouble than it is worth. That's why I was asking about Google Chrome.

Chrome is very good for heavy flashed based web apps, like Facebook games.
Personally I still prefer Firefox, but sometimes an alternate browser is needed.

There is not any problem with IE. If you have you can use it on Firefox.

Not entirely correct.
Yes there are some extensions that mean you can in-bed an IE tab within FF's shell, but vanilla it doesn't do this.

Google Chrome is the fastest browser currently. And it support HTML5 and videos without additional plugins. I definitely recommend it when compared to both IE7 and IE8.

First off ANYTHING is better than IE. Chrome runs the same engine as Safari and is real nice. I have considered switching however it dose not offer the wide verity of extras that can be added to Firefox/Flock. I like it and find I use it more and more.

Another question: What security settings do you need to allow this site to use ActiveX controls?

Depends on the browser your using to get here. If its 64 bit forget abut it. There is no flash 64bit to install.

If you see a prompt when trying to use it ( like a yellow bar at the top ) then right click it and choose to install.

All I get is another bar that says information. I just went in, according to the information, to allow ActiveX controls. Hopefully it will work because yours is the only website that does this every time.

I wasn't aware that AMH used ActiveX. I haven't used anything involving ActiveX in ages. Most of the time I see Flash or Java (especially since those are cross-platform and ActiveX isn't).
Besides, ActiveX can be a security risk. :-P
As far as Chrome is concerned. I like it it and have used it quite a bit. My favourite part about Chrome is how clean it is and how compact the display itself is. However, I do not like that content blocking is not as clean as it is in Firefox.
After using Chrome for a few months, I've switched back to Firefox. Once I can use real adblocking and script blocking, then I'll return to Chrome.

If AMH is Ask Me Help Desk, then, yes it does and although I changed the ActiveX settings, I am still getting the stupid yellow security bar saying I won't allow them because of my security settings. I give up!!

I don't know why. The site looks perfect in Firefox and Chrome which do not run ActiveX. Maybe it's time for a malware scan of your PC.

Perhaps you could post that issue in the Forum Help area and an admin might be able to answer you.
