Why does the thermostat goes up when AC comes on?
Just turned on my AC for a little relief from the summer-like heat and thunderstorms... and the air is cool coming from the vents (though seems to be trickling from some and strong from others) -- but the thermostat now shows that the house is warmer then before. It has risen from 72 degrees to 75 degrees. Any idea what causes this? What I should do?
    Thanks!!

See if outside unit is on, If outside Breaker is tripped or off, it will not cool.
Do you feel warm air blowing up from outside unit? You shoud have while inside unit will be cooling.

Thermostat turns on furnace and then thermostat shuts back to HOLD [ 7 Answers ]

I believe that when we re-run the program with the correct date and time, if the temp has to go up, the furnace runs until it gets the appropriate temp, then it turns off and when it does that, the thermostat also turns off going to the HOLD state.
