    Closed probation after 5 years
So if you are currently on probation in las vegas and you get a violation of probation for not reporting in and leave the state or the country and stay out of trouble for 5 years is it true that your case will get closed even though you never fully paid off your restitution

No, if you got a violatoin of probation and did not show up and left the state, most likely there will be a warrant out for your arrest which never expires.

Whoever told you that probations get "closed" is wrong. The warrant for your arrest does not go away either.

I guess OP didn't like any of these answers so the question was posted in a second time. Then a poll will be taken and the majority will win.

I will vote on the side of, no, this is not true and yes, this is laughable.

Hey they are in vegas right, how about a probation wheel, the judge spins it and you get the punishment that shows up

But then nobody ever knows what the wheel said and the Judge ordered because what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas.
